While Grain Cinnamon Applesauce Bread

I cut into the loaf before I realized that I had forgotten to take a picture, so it doesn't look as pretty as it could. Anyway, this was tasty and easy to make. I underbred it just slightly, but it was still good. It gets a 7 and the recipe came from melskitchencafe.com.

  • 1/4 cup oil (melted coconut, light olive oil, avocado, vegetable, melted butter)
  • 2 large eggs (about 3.5 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup (3.75 ounces) granulated sugar I used 1/3 C.
  • 1/2 cup (3.75 ounces) light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk or sour cream
  • 1 cup no-sugar added cinnamon applesauce (see note) I used no-sugar applesauce that wasn't cinnamon flavored
  • 1 3/4 cup (8.75 ounces) white whole wheat flour (see note)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
