Peach Raspberry Turnovers
These were fine. I would make them again, but not with this same recipe. They got an 8.
2 parts fresh cut peaches to 1 part fresh raspberries
Sugar and ultragel to taste, typically 1 Tbs of ultragel per cup of fruit and 2 Tbs. of sugar per cup
cinnamon ( I would ditch this next time and use a teensy bit of almond extract instead)
Pour juice over berries and then combine ultragel and sugar in a separate bowl. Dump it on the berries and stir just to combine.
I used 1 package of Pepperidge Farm puff pastry dough and it made 8 turnovers. You brush egg wash on top of them, cut slits in the crust, and bake for about 20 minutes or until they are deep golden brown.
