White Wine Tomato Basil Sauce
I served this on salmon, but it would be good with any kind of fish, or chicken. It has lovely flavor and came from bakerbynature.com. I give it an 8.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes I left this out
- 3 large cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar I left this out
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (more to taste)
- I added 3/4 can of chicken broth and mixed in 1 TBS cornstarch to thicken it
