Apple Crisp

I know this is basic, but I made up a new recipe and I will keep this one.

120 grams almond flour
100 – 120 grams white flour
1/3 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup pecans
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
8 Tbs. butter

You put everything in the food processor and pulse it until it’s crumbly.

I cut enough apples for 1 1/2 of the apple pie recipe I use, and then I put lemon juice over the apples and added 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/2 tsp. cloves. I put this in the bottom of a 9x13 pan, put the crumb topping on top, and baked it at 350 for 55 minutes.

Comments

  1. So, I increased the oatmeal a bit. Don't double sugar the apples like I did. You don't sugar the apples, just the crisp part. Stupid me. I tripled the apple pie base recipe (MINUS the sugar) for 2 9x13 pan.

  2. IF you use a lot of apples this has to cook for way longer. Just put some tinfoil on top for part of it.

  3. 3 T. of sugar of each type is fine in the topping. and I do 2/3 cup oatmeal
