Apple Crisp
I know this is basic, but I made up a new recipe and I will keep this one.
120 grams almond flour
100 – 120 grams white flour
1/3 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup pecans
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
8 Tbs. butter
You put everything in the food processor and pulse it until it’s crumbly.
I cut enough apples for 1 1/2 of the apple pie recipe I use, and then I put lemon juice over the apples and added 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/2 tsp. cloves. I put this in the bottom of a 9x13 pan, put the crumb topping on top, and baked it at 350 for 55 minutes.
So, I increased the oatmeal a bit. Don't double sugar the apples like I did. You don't sugar the apples, just the crisp part. Stupid me. I tripled the apple pie base recipe (MINUS the sugar) for 2 9x13 pan.
ReplyDeleteIF you use a lot of apples this has to cook for way longer. Just put some tinfoil on top for part of it.
ReplyDelete3 T. of sugar of each type is fine in the topping. and I do 2/3 cup oatmeal
